Public Veneration of Franciscan Relics

On 22nd February 2026, the tomb of St. Francis will be open for public veneration in Assisi as a celebration of the 800th year of his death. In conjunction with this, the Franciscan Friars of the Custody of St. Anthony, invite you to a one-day veneration of the relics of St Francis of Assisi, St Anthony of Padua and Blessed Gabriel Allegra:

Date: Sunday 22 February 2026
Time: 8am to 8pm
Venue: Chapel of San Damiano Franciscan Centre (within the church grounds of St Mary of the Angels)

All are welcome!

(As part of the Special Jubilee Year of St Francis declared by Pope Leo XIV, a plenary indulgence is granted by the Apostolic Penitentiary for the pilgrimage to the Chapel of San Damiano Franciscan Centre and the veneration of the relics with the condition of having gone to confession, received Communion, and prayed for the Pope's intentions.)
