The Main Church of St Mary of the Angels on Level 1 was completed in 2003, making it over 20 years old! St Clare Hall and the classrooms are even older, with the building's equipment and systems going beyond their operational lifespan. Hence, ongoing replacement and upgrading works are necessary to maintain the property which is sitting on a compound that is more than 50 years old. The major maintenance works carried out in recent years include waterproofing to address the leakage issues in various building locations in 2021 and the Garden of Peace in 2020.

Aug 2024 Update:
Our wheelchair access Ramp was officially opened on our Feast Day, 2 August, by Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, MP for Jurong GRC. This year’s Feast Day fundraising activities will go towards supporting painting and repair works required for our ageing compound.

November 2023 Update: The Parish is building a wheelchair accessible ramp for those who struggle with steep steps as they enter the church from the nearby market & HDB blocks. Construction works for the ramp are currently in progress. Visit stmary.sg/ramp for more information.

January 2023 Update: The renovation of the toilets, which were deteriorating badly with corroding sewage pipes, and often requiring repairs and replacements, started in mid-May 2022 and were completed in early January 2023. The toilets have been redesigned to be more elderly and child-friendly.
