Knights of the Altar (KOTA)

About Us

Knights of the Altar (KOTA) is a liturgical ministry of over 80 active altar servers, boys aged 9 to 20+. We are committed to fostering brotherhood and deepening our spiritual growth in Christ through faithful service at His altar for His holy people.

Our Core Values: Service, Brotherhood & Sacrifice
Our Mission: To serve as Christ did
Our Motto: Brothers called to serve, United in Christ.

Our training is usually held on Sundays, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.

Come join us now — grow in faith and brotherhood as we serve Christ together!

Come Join Us!

As servers, you will grow closer to the Lord as you do your duty and serve mass. Our goal is for all servers to be a part of the church community, to build fraternity within each other and forge brotherhood.

What We Do

The servers are organised across 9 different Mass timings, where we faithfully dedicate ourselves at the altar, assisting the priest, gathering the people and uplifting the liturgy. We strive to give our very best to the Lord and His people whenever we step onto the altar.

Beyond our weekly Sunday Masses, we also serve at weddings, funerals, and baptisms, and take an active role in parish celebrations such as the Parish Feast Day, Holy Week Triduum, Ordinations, and many more.

Activities

Besides serving at the altar, our servers also take part in a wide range of activities organised by the KOTA Executive Committee, including our Annual Camp, Amazing Race, barbecues, and more. We also hold smaller-scale activities such as Sports Day,
bowling, and futsal during the school holidays to engage and strengthen the
bond among our servers.

Our Leaders

Benjermin Williams and Dinesh Pubalan, the President and Vice-President of KOTA respectively, lead the ministry with the support of their Executive Committee (EXCO) and the various Mass Leaders.

Within the Core-EXCO, Gabriel Ong leads the Planning Team, that oversees the planning of ministry-wide activities, while Jeremiah Ajam heads the Training Team, guiding and teaching new servers.

The Mass Leaders coordinate their assigned Mass timings and help nurture brotherhood and friendship among the servers.
