World AIDS Day is commemorated on 1st December every year to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. 

Catholic AIDS Response Effort provides holistic care and support to People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and their families. It works to also raise the level of public awareness of HIV/AIDS, and promote greater compassion and understanding towards PLWHA.
