What happens when a person with autism connects with God?
Can someone truly desire God without a strong sense of self?
These questions invite us to pause and look deeper into the mystery of faith, and into the spiritual journeys of those who live with autism. Their experiences challenge us to reflect on our own search for God, and what it means to love and be loved in return.
Friar Derrick Yap, OFM will explore these elusive questions, guiding us to explore how asking the right questions can open doors within and connect us deeply with the spiritual stories of others navigating the autistic world.
Following the talk, Friar Derrick will be joined with Dr Eunice Tan and Professor Kenneth Poon in a panel discussion. They will explore the realities of autism, offering both professional and pastoral insights into how faith and life meet.
