In this lenten journey into God's relentless love, may we find the friendship of Jesus who calls us "Beloved"; and in response we may proclaim "We love because He first loved us." (1 John 4:19) so that all our works of mercy, alms-giving, prayer and fasting be rooted in this primary affective Love relationship.
