FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES
FOR YOUNG COUPLES (preparing for marriage or married a few years)
Young couples are encouraged to learn from the joys and challenges of more experienced married couples - to be challenged to live an authentic love relationship centered on Christ, and build a firm foundation for your new life together.
For the journey, you will be matched with a Couple Mentor from our parish. Your journey with them will be over six sessions at their home and cover the following:
- A Mission to Love
- Dialogue: Being One
- Knowing Me, Knowing You
- Building Unity
- Sex: Sacred Embrace
- Soul Mates for Life
Hear from couple mentors and mentees who have completed the journey

BE A COUPLE MENTOR
Each married couple is a visible sign of God’s love for His people. Whether you are both Catholics or an interfaith couple, consider being a couple mentor. You will enrich not only the lives of another couple, but your own relationship as well. There are no perfect couples, yet we try our best to live out our vocation as faithful spouses.
If you believe in the wonderful bond of marriage, have been married for at least five years, and wish to help younger couples build a fulfilling marriage by sharing your own joys and challenges of marital life, if you are rooted in love and committed to living out the Church’s teachings on marriage – you are ideal candidates to be couple mentors.

Familiae aims to help parents strengthen and encourage one another to persevere in their struggles towards maintaining good family relationships. It organises parenting talks in collaboration with the Catechetical Office and Social Work Outreach as well as the Legion of Mary Family Apostolate.
Familiae welcomes all parishioners to our monthly sessions. During these sessions, we hold a Prayer & Reflection on the Gospel of the Day with faith sharings, hold discussions on challenges faced by families and support one another in prayer.
Familiae also initiated the Alpha Parenting Teen Pilot Course. We hope to get more parents involved as facilitators to ensure its continuity in our Parish.
Every 4th Sunday, 3pm to 5pm at Classroom 1 & 2
The Natural Family Planning (NFP) Clinic’s mission is to counsel couples on family planning. It is also open to non-Catholics and unmarried couples.

About SMOTA MOMs
SMOTA MOMs is an apostolate of the Church of St Mary of the Angels. Working together, we offer support and affirm women in their many roles that are expected of them, as grandmothers, mothers, wives, aunts, daughters, sisters & friends. SMOTA MOMs (M)eet (O)ther (M)om(s) is primarily a network to connect mothers to help other mothers where the need arises. SMOTA MOMs is formed by women bonded by our vocation and our Catholic faith to share the joys and struggles of motherhood - both spiritual mothers and physical mothers. Moms of all ages and stages are welcomed to participate in our gatherings and events. It is our deepest desire to "meet you" where you "are" and to provide events, activities and resources to encourage you in your walk with Christ. Our mission is three-fold - to serve and enrich our personal faith, our families and our parish.
- To be informed of upcoming activities and for the purpose of outreach you may LIKE our public Facebook Page for SMOTA MOMs (https://www.facebook.com/smota.moms/). We will post pertinent information or details of events where anyone can share with other family members and friends, who do not belong to our FB closed group.
