Just as a body is made up of many parts, each dependent on the others, the Liturgical Music Ministry contributes to the life of the parish in her Eucharistic celebrations and Para liturgies. This ministry comprises choirs and musicians who are responsible for the music, commentating, psalming and cantoring during the liturgy. Their role is not one of performance but rather of planning, complementing and leading the congregation in worship through music during the celebrations and prayers of the church liturgies.
If you are interested in contributing to this ministry, you should be able to play an instrument or have a reasonably pleasant singing or speaking voice.
The Children’s Choir celebrates at children’s masses in praise and worship to encourage the participation of our young parishioners and their families. Working hand in hand with the Children’s Liturgy in preparation for the children’s masses, the Children’s Choir leads the young congregation in singing with its angelic voices. So parents, if your little ones love singing, do encourage them to join the Children’s Choir and be part of the celebration that brings children closer to God.
