Heartspace @ St Mary’s
All creative self-expression nourishes the human spirit and HeARTspace's open studio provides a casual, warm and non-judgmental space to explore the creative aspect of spirituality. At the individual level, art therapy helps the participant to gain deeper personal awareness while group sessions provide a supportive environment to encourage empathy and understanding for self and others. All are welcome to the art therapy sessions at the Open Studio (below the Parish Office) on Saturdays from 9.30 am to 1 pm and Wednesdays from 2 pm to 5 pm. You may prefer just to create in silence or choose to consult Ms Joanna Tan, our resident art therapist if you require further direction. Basic art materials are provided and artistic ability is not required to participate in or benefit from the sessions. The focus is on the creative journey rather than the finished product. Individual consultations can also be arranged with Joanna on a private and confidential basis.
