God lights you by the light of day,
and nourishes you with the fruits of the earth;
it is true to say that every moment, the bounty, the wisdom,
and the power of God are at your service.
St. Ignatius of Loyola, 16th century

Charism, Signs, and Gifts of a Teacher
Charisms, Signs, and Gifts of a Preacher
The Emmaus Young Adult Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group Teaching Workshop 6th of March 2010
Why We Preach Mark 3:14 -> Jesus sent his disciples to preach Rom 10:8-17 -> so that people may believe Eph 4:11-12; Romans 12:6-7 -> Charism is meant to build the Church
What We Preach Christ
Who are called? Those in authority, e.g. Pastors, leaders, etc. Those given the charism. Those who are humble. Those who are teachable (willing to be purified). Those who persevere without seeing the results or get the credit.
Answering the Call Isaiah 6:1-8 -> “Here I am Lord” Jeremiah 20:7-10

Mark 8:22-25 And they came to Beth-sa'ida. And some people brought to him a blind man, and begged him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the village; and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands upon him, he asked him, "Do you see anything?" And he looked up and said, "I see men; but they look like trees, walking." Then again he laid his hands upon his eyes; and he looked intently and was restored, and saw everything clearly. Practical Aspects of Teaching: Read, Live, Reflect, Tell Christian teaching is about stories. One big divine story made up of many small human stories – and the power these stories have to change lives, the world, and beyond. So, to teach is to read, live, reflect on, and tell these stories. I hope and I pray that this story today will be useful to you as you learn that every Christian, besides being a lover, is also a teacher at heart.
