Christ’s Resurrection defeated the power of the darkness of evil

Let You be My First Desire
Last time I read an article from Emmaus website, titled, “In Search of’ the one’ – The choice that we must all make”.
It’s a very good article about love and relationships that I would recommend all of you to read and reflect on as I found it very applicable to our life.

“…God created us to desire the opposite sex… Unfortunately, Satan has taken these good desires and twisted them…”
“…love is not about taking… Love is about giving. In a genuinely loving relationship, two people become a gift and a blessing to each other. This, however, is only possible when we are free from the compulsion to take from and to possess the other…”
“…the source of our satisfaction should always be God and not man. Only God can satisfy our aches, loneliness, needs, and desires. Subsequently, we must allow God to satisfy and complete us.”
Lord, teach me to put you as my first desire. And may You teach me to love as how You have loved me.

Thank you
Thank you, Irma for reminding me abt this article.. Thanks, again, to elizabeth, the one that posted this article . .^^ .. I read it again and I still struck the with the same line (besides the lines that you have shared) ' It is only when we are wholesome that a relationship changes from "two halves becoming one" into "two wholes becoming one". & that wholesome only possible if we put God as our everything. A very good reminder, esp. for myself..
God bless
Love in Christ,
Monique
