Reflection from "Called to Serve" session

Hai all..

It's good to be back writing some reflection..

It's really interesting when i heard how we called to serve one another in another different point of view, because what i've heard so many times before about the service in ministry, mostly it's just about the technical things and explanation about how we can serve in the community in the parish, but what Keenan spoke about the service and how God really called each of us to serve one another, that's true and honestly we're often forget about it while we too much busy with all the technical things in the service, we often get our attention too much about all the technical things in the ministry and service and really forgot about the true meaning about the service it self.

One of the quote that struck me is from "The Weight of Glory":

Next to the Blessed Sacrament itself, your neighbour is the holiest thing presented to your senses...

For me, this quote it's a bit radical, because it's seems like you must compare your neighbour with the Blessed Sacrament, so you must do the same thing as you did to the Blessed Sacrament in another words you must really2 love and respect one another. That's one of the thing that we are really often forget when we meet people and serve them in the ministry.

Also one of the things that i like when Keenan remind us to start everything that we do in service with prayer...

In the first place, beg of Him by most earnest prayer, that He perfect whatever good you do begin...

I really2 like that quote, the simple things that sometimes we don't know what's the meaning, yes of course that we always pray before we serve in the ministry, but sometimes we did it, because just we have to...but that quote really reminds us that not only our skill and talent so we can serve in the ministry, but also we must put Him always in the first place, not only in the ministry i think, but also in everything that we have and we do in our life.

But in the end, this session really remind me once again to be an instrument of His love for one another based on St. Francis prayer, which its one of my favourite prayer also. It's remind me for being humble always in your service, because from my experience, i've found that most of the people in the ministry is too easy being proud to ourself for what we've done in the ministry and start to forget all God's grace and gift in our life.

Feel so blessed with this session, it really recharge my spiritual and my knowledge about how to serve God again with love and passion..and i hope it really encourage us all to serve one another in love of God...

Have a blessed day..

Keep humble in His love...
