Great Weekend and A Change in Leadership within Emmaus community

Dearest all,

first of all I have to thank many of you who were involved in the Great Adventure Bible Seminar. I was truly amazed by your love for the Word of God, your generosity by giving your time and energy. I am still amazed by people like Basil, Ben, Vincent, William, and Anne, and many others who spend a lot of time and effort for the seminar. Thanks for many people who are helping the Emmaus for the exhibition. I think we work great as a team aren't we? and we really enjoyed it :)

I personally felt refreshed through out the weekend. I really love the life testimony of Thomas Smith and many of his words really open my heart and my mind to the Word of God. I really experienced what Luke said about the two disciples walking to Emmaus, "Did not our hearts burnt within us while He explained the scripture to us?" The Holy Spirit really opened up my minds to the Word of God. It is always exciting to know Jesus more.

The second thing which I would like to inform is about a change in leadership within the Emmaus community. In the last core team meeting, it was suggested that I assign someone as an acting coordinator on my behalf so that I would have more time to prepare for my wedding this year. With this, I have decided to ask Valent (yes, it's Valent!!) to serve the Lord in this office. this decision takes effect immediately :) He will be in charge as Shepherd for the community until we elect a new leader end of this year or beginning of next year.

I personally thank Valent for his humble yes to this call. I knew it was not easy for him to say yes :p, but I believe the grace of the Lord will be with him as the grace of the Lord was with me and helping me along. Please keep him in your prayer and be submissive to him as you would to Christ.

I will make this announcement more formally on the 8th of August prayer meeting. Unfortunately, I won't be around on the 1st of August prayer meeting since my parents are coming to singapore and I will bring them for travel to Malaysia this weekend.

Anyway, I will still be around and serve you all. It is always a joy to serve the Lord!
