Emmaus ezlink card designs

Dear all!

You may or may not have heard that we're making stickers for our ezlink cards with the Emmaus Vision and Mission written on them.

Don't worry if you already have your ezlink card decorated stickers are removable! Just take yours off and stick ours on! :D Nah I'm just kidding, you can always stick them anywhere you want - your phone card, your Zone X tapz card, your driver's license (ok maybe not), your notebook, your bible, or just use it as a bookmark :)

Anyway here are the possible designs. I'd like to get your votes on which one you like best. And if there are any suggestions or requests please let me know.

There are 2 font styles I used. Garamond and Helvetica. They can be applied to whichever background.

** Also I'd like to point out that the text displayed is slightly different than our actually Vision and Mission. Please disregard it for now, it will be fixed in the final version. **

You can click on the images to make them bigger.

  1. Bible background. I realise it's a light background but I can make the bible image slightly darker so you can see it.
  2. Celtic cross. Simple design with slight textures and celtic cross in the bg.
  3. Red pattern. Simple design with a light red pattern in the bg.
  4. Paper 1. A reddish paper background
  5. Paper 2. A lighter paper background with torn edges
  6. Wax paper. A darker waxpaper background.
  7. Paper 2 with Emmaus logo in the background.
  8. Paper 2 with Emmaus logo on the bottom right.
  9. Paper 1 with Celtic cross in the bg.
  10. Paper 2 with Celtic cross in the bg.
  11. Wax paper with Celtic cross in the bg.
  12. Paper 2 with Celtic cross and little cross bullet points.
  13. Same as 12 but with darkened edges.
  14. Same as 11 but with rounder font and cross bullet points.

thanks abby!:) so many variety, spoilt for choice ;P

number 10 is ok for me but i like the dark edges in design 11

may i ask if it's ok to put some sort of bullet for the various mission statements.. like a tiny cross or something.. just a suggestion

Wow... Abby you're the best! I vote for 10. I like the combination of the celtic cross and the old paper. It's like very traditional. Hehehe...

i vote 10 but wonder how it looks with the dark edges (from 11) incorporated.. if not i'll stick with 10. :)

You guys fantastic!! (never imagine that you all will come out with this idea, when eliz told me I was amazed.. =D). Anyway, abby you really talented in designing this all. I prefer the latest one which you has shown us (the one with crucifixes as bullet points) and darkened edges.. Perfect with those *burning-paper* style ..eheheh

Ermm..Is this means that I must change my Shau Ting Tang very soon ??!!.. wahaha..(am sure some of you will get it).. =P

i vote for the last sample with lil crosses points and darkened edges...

so cool..... when i tap my ezlink card, i will make sure people behind me can see the cross and see the writings... then when start asking what is it, i'll start evangelizing at mrt station...

muahahahahahaa... perfect plan...

hum, just cross my mind, should we create design with our prayer meeting information on it (location, time, contact person, etc) for newer members that may think the group vision n mission is too "heavy" for them, or maybe they can't commit to the group yet.

I'll vote for number 14...

@Soni: I think it should be alright for newer members to be introduced to The Emmaus vision and mission too. Or we can introduce them to the ezlink sticker once we see them coming for prayer meeting more regularly. So I feel the design with prayer meeting information might not be needed at the moment.

The bullet points are very useful for reading. And I like the stronger bg colours of 13 and 14 and the oldpaper look, but i really LOVE the scotch tape bit on 13!

I think this is a good idea. Thanks aby, I like Soni's idea to put contact no. Maybe we can do one sticker first for the vision and mission, and the next project is to create the one with the info like soni and marcus said. We have two sides for each ez link card. hehehe so we can use two stickers :p (is it allowed?)

I really can't choose which one like. first, of course with bullet points is much better. Then the rest, I follow majority haahhaa...

Wow, thanks all for your participation. I would say this is the post in The Emmaus website with the most number of members commenting, haha.. I hope all of you would also participate in the rest of the posts (sharings, reflections, articles) in the website too by giving comments to encourage the author of the articles :)

We shall go with design 14 and if everything is going as planned we'll get the stickers early next year (don't worry, it's not that long =P).

@Monica: once you have this sticker posted in you ezlink, you'll pray instead of play with the card, haha..

@Basil: cool hairstyle :D

@Oka: your last statement reminds me of werewolf...

@Marcus: maybe we should plan for the next design..
