A completely different view
Nowadays people are concerned on whether they have the calling for the religious life, but the author of this book shows that in the past it was not the usual case. It's about looking at religious life from a completely different point of view, whether we can really take the kind of life that it demands. A very interesting book to be read, although the language used might not be that easy to understand..
"To have courage for whatever comes in life - everything lies in that." (St Teresa of Avila)
Good Book
Yes it is a different approach. Think the language is alright but the religion jargons are quite a handful can be quite hard to understand. A bit confused though, after reading the book- does the book says one doesnt need to focus too much on discernment?
This book is a guide. The answer to the vocation still lies with the Lord. Personal experiences with the Lord and constant prayer will finally lead to the answer. After the retreat... i personally feel that there is no need to dwell too much on what ur vocation is. It is the NOW that is impt. Regardless ur current status... just focus on serving the Lord at wherever state u are is what is the most impt. :D
