Portrait of Padre Pio's life

This book describes the life of Padre Pio, from he was little, when he got the stigmata, the persecution he faced and the opposition from Holy See itself, conversion stories of several notable people, his friends, his holy characters.

As I read the book, I keep thinking to myself, "What I am doing?" in the first place. Padre Pio warm character described in the book truly touched me as I read.

It is also interesting how violet fragrance coming from whatever Padre Pio touched and even the fragrance could appear out of nowhere when Padre Pio was not around within eye sight. When Padre Pio went for confession, he would be able to read people hearts and as if reading from a book, he could mention people's life with precision and whenever people met him, their lives were transformed. Padre Pio's relationship with Jesus and Mother Mary is also remarkable.

I truly recommend this book to be read, a good insight into this saint's life.

"To have courage for whatever comes in life - everything lies in that." (St Teresa of Avila)
