Opens up my mind on the Church history
This is a small book (very small indeed) about the history of the church from the time of the apostles. what amazes me is that how the author draw lessons from those history. It is not just about facts, but about what we can and should learn about history.
What particular thing that I learnt is that, in the time when people say the church is going down, God indeed raised up his saints. At the time of reformation, where people only talk the corruption of the church, we tend to forget about the saints in those ages: St. Ignatius, St. Francis Xavier, St. John of the Cross, St. Francis de Sales, etc.
