Dear friends,

The Society of Jesus will be holding a retreat for young men, teaching the methods of Ignatian discernment, on the National Day weekend of 6 - 8 August. Note, this is not the Jesuit vocation retreat, which will be held separately in a few months.

This retreat aims to teach some aspects of St. Ignatius' Spiritual Exercises designed to help in the process of one's own discernment, and can assist you in making choices based on God's will for you, eg. between married and religious life, choosing a religious community, deciding on your career, picking a course of study, etc.

If you want to know how to trace God's footprints in your life and follow the paths He has prepared for you, come and learn about discernment at this specially organised retreat.

God bless,
Fr. Colin Tan, S.J.,
Loyola Jesuit Novitiate.

P.S. If you have come for this retreat previously and wish to refresh your awareness of Ignatian Spirituality, you're welcome to attend again. Feel free to pass this on to others whom you think will benefit from this discernment experience.

*Additional Information:

The retreat will begin with dinner at 7pm on Friday 6 August and end at 5.30pm after Mass on Sunday 8 August.

For those who would like to spend more time in prayer, have personal spiritual direction with Fr. Colin, or just get to know the community a bit better, you have an extra option to stay one more night after the retreat till Monday after lunch (that Monday will be a public holiday in Singapore).
