New Coordinator of The Emmaus for year 2010 to 2011

Dearest brethren :)

I am happy to let you know that the Emmaus core team has finished the discernment and election for the new coordinator of the community for year 2010 until 2011. If you are wondering why not until 2012, it's not because the world ends in 2012, but simply because our term of office is a two-year term.

The core team has been discerning, and ask all of you to pray with us and for us, since September this year. After some nomination, prayer, fasting, and election. We have come out with a name who will lead the community for the next two years.

I am very much happy to tell you that William Kangdra is now the coordinator of the Emmaus Young Adult Catholic Charismatic Prayer Group.

I thank God for his availability and his humility, for his fiat to the Lord. I believe the Lord will guide him as much as He has guided me (and Valent) for the past two years. The Lord is faithful, and we can always put our trust in Him. The community belongs to Him and Him alone. We are only His servants.

I would request that you all to pray for William in his new office as servant of the community. His authority is given to serve, and I have no doubt that he will faithfully serve the Lord. May we support him as well and give him our encouragement. May we too obey him as he obey Christ. May we listen to him as he listens to Christ.

Lastly, I would like to thank the previous core team and all service team with all the members of the community for all your love and support. You truly open my eyes for the wonders of God's Spirit that is at work in building the Church. I have seen so many charisms flourishing. I have seen joy. I have witnessed growth in holiness. I have encountered people so loving and so kind to others. I have exprienced the power of prayer and intercession, and so many other things. Indeed, how can I not give thanks to the Lord for each one of you. You are the Lord's beloved and how beautiful you are. I am grateful and so happy to be in this community.

And let me close with the words of St. Paul himself. Let these words of St. Paul be a reminder for us and our community to never lack in zeal and to keep on serving the Lord and love one another as the Lord has loved us.

Romans 12:9-18

 Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good;
 love one another with brotherly affection; outdo one another in showing honor.
Never flag in zeal, be aglow with the Spirit, serve the Lord.
Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Contribute to the needs of the saints, practice hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; never be conceited.
Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is noble in the sight of all.
If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all.
