Outing Emmaus on 5 September 2009

Guys, we have discussed about the outing and we decided it will be on Sentosa. Here are the descriptions of the event itself:

Venue: Sentosa (Palawan Beach)

Date: 5th September 2009

Time: 14.00 – onwards

Meeting point: Vivo City on 13.00 pm

Transport: Monorail (fee $2 @ person)

Dress code: Hawaian

Activities:

  • Game (Battle Fields Game, Guessing)
  • Cycling
  • Walkerator
  • Volley ball
  • Sight seeing
  • Barbeque (foods will be bought by Family Ministry with budget $100)

Suggested food & drink and additional items:

  • Sausages
  • Chicken wing
  • Corn
  • Rice
  • Green tea, coke, water
  • Satay (to be confirmed)
  • Jelly
  • Fruits
  • Salad     --->  tomatoes, cabbage and thousand island
  • Marshmallow
  • Milkfish
  • Onion
  • Sauce (Heinz)
  • Butter
  • Brush for bbq
  • Spoon, plate and glasses
  • Satay stick
  • Scissors and knives
  • Chopping board
  • Capsicum

Programs:

  • Opening prayer : Basil
  • Opening remarks: Valent
  • Games: Vincent
  • Free time until 17.00 pm
  • Barbeque time  17.00 – 18.00
  • Dinner  18.00 – onwards
  • Closing prayer: Philip
  • MC: Ben and Maggy

O yah, must let me know what you will bring so there won’t be more corns than sausages hehehhe..  Feel free to reply this email. Besides that, if you want to volunteer some money instead of food, we will also accept. And if you want to bring food and donate some money, it will be very good.

But the most important thing is that we want to you to come and have fun together. So, come and join us !!

no bbq pit in sentosa

Vincent, I tried search in the internet for bbq pit in sentosa, but it seems we can only have bbq if we rent the chalet. So are we still going for bbq?

Was just looking around. We can book a chalet at costa sands for $80 one night, but on Sunday. There's no chalet available on saturday. http://www.costasands.com.sg/web/availabilityAndBooking/index.aspx

Another option, we go somewhere else for the bbq. I've checked NParks. The only bbq pit left is at either Pasir Ris (area 4), Punggol Park (we can go to CSC for adoration haha!) and Sembawang Park (dunno where this is).

Btw I've invited William Tjhi to go to sentosa. So if we're not going there, I need to inform him hehe.

drinks

we always run out of drinks... I will bring some bottles - Green Tea & soft drinks.

do we have cups? otherwise I can bring those too :)
