This is Valent here. Before coming to The Emmaus I was in NTU and got to be in NTU CSA Charismatic there. But once I graduated, I was wondering which community I should go, or even I was wondering if it was really necessary to have a faith community.
So the first six months upon graduation I was wandering around while entering workforce. Around this time, I was introduced to The Emmaus by Erwin Leonardi and Hilda Lie. They kept asking me to come for the prayer meetings and just to drop by. They said there were Oka, Maya, etc in the prayer group. So I paid a few visits but I did not really come regularly to prayer meetings.
But six months after graduation, I felt the need to have faith community to restore back my faith in God. So I decided to come more regularly to The Emmaus prayer meetings. At that time, I hoped to just come, receive the spiritual inputs, and go back home. I can still remember at that time once the prayer meeting was over, the people could go back very fast (unlike now =P), or rather maybe it was just me.
Well, now it's a bit different. I get to know more about God's love through the people. I've never regretted being a part of this community where I continue to experience God's love and also to serve.

Valent does such a great job, we wouldn't have such a website if not for him :)

@Abby: Yes, for the better, I believe :). Or rather it was just me that went back very fast after the prayer meeting. I can't recall, haha... maybe the rest can help to confirm this? Oka, Maya, Christine, Soni, Eliz, etc? =P
Thank God he sent you to Emmaus, otherwise we will not have this website now. hahaha..
okay, not only that (I'm not that practical)
I must affirm that Valent is really a good evangelist. He encourages people to grow and learn more about the faith through the articles he sent. And I guess everyone who knows him can see how passionate he is about using media/technology to evangelize. The fruits are plain to see. :)
