YISS

I went for confession today with Father. I prepared a whole list of sins to tell him even though I just went for confession yesterday before Sunday mass, as I've deeply reflected the examination of consciousness of sins and realised I made many invisible sins that I thought weren't really sins. However, Father told me the sacrament of confession is not to tell a laundry list of sins but to strengthen your relationship with God. Hence, he asked me not to tell him the list but instead to have a chat.

Hiii all,

Thank God for giving us the opportunity to be able to gather together today. It is just a fantastic experience for me.

Today’s topic is “Repentance”. The session began with praise and worship led by Valent. Then there was teaching section by Philip and testimony by Leo. After that, we had announcement and also fellowship. All events were fun. The praise n worship made us feel God’s presence. Btw the songs are good. For me, I like "benediction" and "we are the reason" (the one that was sang by Philip). The lyrics have good meaning.

Finally, all the "torture" of assignments is finito! Thanks to God for holding me through =) and so I can make this reflection just now.

On Friday, 1 May 2009, I was having adoration for the Emmaus Youth in the Spirit Seminar in adoration room in St Mary of the Angels with my friends. For the service team, we usually have adoration session every Friday during this YISS period to offer prayers for the YISS itself. At that night, there were 9 of us going for adoration (Oka, Maya, Christine, Priscilla, Eliz, Lisa, Philip, Basil, and myself).
