1. What is gift of tongues?

Gift of tongues is gift in form of utterance (might be linguistic or not), which comes from the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Last Saturday, I came to Emmaus Prayer meeting and the topic in the prayer meeting was about Pentecost, which gives me a lot of insight of Pentecost. In the teaching session, Brother Oka shared that Pentecost is actually related to:

1. Harvest and Thanks giving 

2. Ten commandments

3. Breath of Life (Ezekiel 37:1-14)

4. Unity 

However in this note, I would like to share more on the Pentecost and Ten Comandments (from the book "Charismatic Spirituality" and affirmed by the teaching session)

Holy Spirit Twofold Nature

Last Thursday, Fr Cantalamessa, well known for his position as Papal Preacher, visited Singapore on his way back to Rome from Philippines. Oka, Maya, Christine, Abigail, Keenan, Lisa, Philip, and I attended the talk held by SACCRE.

In the last session of "Why am I a Catholic?" on last Saturday, Oka just brings up the session about The Charismatic Renewal in the Catholic church, which I always love to see when all the Catholic people feel the changes in their life when they are experiencing the Holy Spirit when they are praying or singing, even when they are talk about God to other people, I feel their passion and desire about God, to encounter God's love always in their love.

Albert Vanhoye was born July 23, 1923 at Hazebrouck, France.
